A great day out doesn’t have to be expensive, as the popular KD two-in-one tickets prove! For just € 3.60 more than the regular cruise price you can add either a visit to SEA LIFE Königswinter or a ride with the cog railway up to the Drachenfels Cliff including entrance to the model railway.

Our full-day bus & ship excursion from Cologne is all about the Romans. Departure from Cologne is at 09:30 hrs and your first stop is at the Limes Experience “RömerWelt am Caput Limitis” in Rheinbröhl. This is hands-on history, explained vividly during a guided tour. At 12:15 hrs you drive on to the KD landing stage at Bad Hönningen. After lunch in the “Neue Rheinterrasse” restaurant you will have time to explore the town before you board a KD ship at 16:15 hrs to sail back to Cologne. During the homeward cruise you can enjoy a portion of Bergisch waffles with hot cherries.

Opportunity to take a ride with the BUGA cable car to the fortress Ehrenbreitstein. Return at 14.30 hrs with KD from Koblenz to Bonn (arrival 18.15 hrs) or Cologne (arrival 20.00 hrs).

Combine your cruise past many castles and vineyards with an impressive ride on the cable car from Koblenz over the Rhine to the fortress Ehrenbreitstein. The main attractions of BUGA (2011's National Garden Show) with parks and gardens and of course the fortress (admission fee included) await you. Join the excursion package either before or after the cruise.

For a fantastic view of the fascinating scenery around Rüdesheim we particularly recommend our Ring Ticket around the Niederwald forest. In the course of a relaxing day’s tour you experience wonderful views from cable railway, chair lift and of course from your KD ship.

You decide how you want to go!
You can for instance start your tour in Rüdesheim with a 10-minute ride on the chair lift up to the Niederwald forest recreation area. Here a beautiful walk of about an hour will take you around the famous Niederwald monument (Germania) along peaceful forest paths, past magnificent lookout points, to the hunting lodge with its game enclosure. From here you take the cable railway down through the steep vineyards to Assmannshausen. A 45 minute KD cruise will then bring you back to Rüdesheim, departing from Assmannshausen as you wish at 12:30, 14:30, 16:30, 17:30 or 19:30 hrs.

A great variety of possible combinations mean that you can begin your tour in Rüdesheim, Bingen or Assmannshausen.
